Just another dreary night Alone behind the wheel The need to rest her weary eyes She'll yield to fate's ideal Some may say it's God's plan I say it's just a shame For a god that would take her Is a god to be damned Soon her eyes fall shut and then The real hell begins She wonders where she currently is Or where she's soon to be Is this dream or reality? She sure can't decide It will hit her like a ton of bricks In death she'll soon reside Wake up Christina, Wake up Christina!

Numb is he who keeps on doubting every single thing The times we had in disarray, who knows what tomorrow brings? Hurting you to hurt myself, or perhaps the other way I can't imagine you'll forget, regardless what was said [Chorus] Money talks and bullshit walks, you've heard it time and again And if I said that one described me Which would you think it is? You tell me to believe in myself, yet you can't believe in me The nightmares that would always wake you Aren't all that far from the truth Words mean little when the actions behind them say the opposite Compulsive ways define existing, deceit comes natural soon with time I'm torn in two, can't tell who the real me is Fear of the unknown, or is it nothingness I'm scared of being scared, afraid of losing what I love This life has given me not so very much [Chorus]

Witness the beholder of loneliness itself A glimmer of hope I soon catch sight Why must you be so far? Decrepit and disowned is the one who's cast alone The shackles that keep me still Have dissolved every ounce of will Near, yet so far away I stand before you now Within mind's reach But unable to see The one I hold so dear that I can't think clearly My regrets But I must depart It's the only way A brand new start A love that's wasted Is no love at all Withhold all feelings Withstand the fall Near, yet so far away I stand before you now Within mind's reach But unable to see Why the one I held so dear meant anything to me

Sights and sounds soon merge as one Shapes and waves are one and the same Insanity greets my doorway What's that light around the corner? Is it you, the one I love? Or is it just another damned mirage? A broken high subsides Unexplainable light A severed tie that I'll crave to find I walk into the light For it calls me near And it welcomes me For I have no fear I know it's right But I can't explain My life goes blind It's just a matter of time A light that never dies Soon seeks to pacify Chemicals breach my mind Watch life pass before my eyes Insanity greets my doorway I owe it all to the light around the corner As death consumes all life Faces, families, trials and terrors Loves, hates, successes, and failures Soon fall into sheets of empty grey All vibrancy is lost I'm stuck in infinite pause All meaning is gone while I'm stuck inside this void Pure nothingness I walk into the light For it calls me near And it welcomes me For I have no fear I know it's right But I can't explain My life goes blind And now my eyes

Going through the motions Time's in standstill What's the point in living when life's already gone? My friends, my loved ones Disappear at a glance Time's in standstill All is but a trance Has everyone given up on me Not a care in sight No eyes, no souls, no minds Pay their heed to my existence Living happily without me Staring out the window Wondering who I am And how I keep on living Roads paved with gold The myths of man All the roads I walk Nothing left but sand

Ultimatum 06:38
To whom I write this letter An ultimatum, I guess you'd say Don't think for once that you don't mean Anything to me It's just, deep down I know we aren't meant to be [Chorus] Believe in yourself and make today A better day for you and me Your own happiness is my priority That's why you should leave me be Weight receding off my shoulders Free of those that keep me down It's only up from here sincerely Don't think I'll even turn around! [Chorus]

2/8/2021: Added A Living Fountain of Youth [2009 Demo].
10/30/2020: Reuploaded all tracks in true 24-bit.

An album nearly finished back in 2013 but continuously delayed for six years. Vocals were newly recorded far after 2013 in various years, and the album was rearranged, expanded and the production was improved- without drastically changing the tone of the tracks. It still has more in common with The Amber in Embers' production than any other album of mine.

I'm not entirely pleased with the vocals. I have little privacy to record vocals these days, and these songs in particular really aren't suited for my range. Still, I didn't want to raise the key of any of the tracks.

A mixture of lack of takes and discomfort with the tracks led to some questionable bits. It's still much better than it was originally, you'll have to trust me on that.
