Just another dreary night Alone behind the wheel The need to rest her weary eyes She'll yield to fate's ideal Some may say it's God's plan I say it's just a shame For a god that would take her Is a god to be damned Soon her eyes fall shut and then The real hell begins She wonders where she currently is Or where she's soon to be Is this dream or reality? She sure can't decide It will hit her like a ton of bricks In death she'll soon reside Wake up Christina, Wake up Christina!

A living fountain of youth I've searched to find for many years Without any regrets At least not yet A living fountain of youth defies all time It steals my soul My heart and mind No more lies today I don't believe a word you say I don't know what I'm hearing No more times the same As lonely as it is I'll stand alone Even without a home to call my own A living fountain of youth is not real A creation, an illusion Is it true that when we die, that there will be no afterlife? Hard to accept, but is there any proof for any such afterlife? No more it seems, they'll take away my dreams Mislead me all the way, to rape and steal my days Forlorn without a soul, given reason in its place I know what the real answers are, there's no shame in reality! No more cries of pain As scary as it is the end will come Perhaps it's nothing to fear at all A living fountain of youth is all look forward to I don't believe in faith that's ephemeral I can't believe in you I can't believe in you I can't believe in you

Witness the beholder of loneliness itself A glimmer of hope I soon catch sight Why must you be so far? Decrepit and disowned is the one who's cast alone The shackles that keep me still Have dissolved every ounce of will Near, yet so far away I stand before you now Within mind's reach But unable to see The one I hold so dear that I can't think clearly My regrets But I must depart It's the only way A brand new start A love that's wasted Is no love at all Withhold all feelings Withstand the fall Near, yet so far away I stand before you now Within mind's reach But unable to see Why the one I held so dear meant anything to me

Sights and sounds soon merge as one Shapes and waves are one and the same Insanity greets my doorway What's that light around the corner? Is it you, the one I love? Or is it just another damned mirage? A broken high subsides Unexplainable light A severed tie that I'll crave to find I walk into the light For it calls me near And it welcomes me For I have no fear I know it's right But I can't explain My life goes blind It's just a matter of time A light that never dies Soon seeks to pacify Chemicals breach my mind Watch life pass before my eyes Insanity greets my doorway I owe it all to the light around the corner As death consumes all life Faces, families, trials and terrors Loves, hates, successes, and failures Soon fall into sheets of empty grey All vibrancy is lost I'm stuck in infinite pause All meaning is gone while I'm stuck inside this void Pure nothingness I walk into the light For it calls me near And it welcomes me For I have no fear I know it's right But I can't explain My life goes blind And now my eyes

Ultimatum 06:38
To whom I write this letter An ultimatum, I guess you'd say Don't think for once that you don't mean Anything to me It's just, deep down I know we aren't meant to be [Chorus] Believe in yourself and make today A better day for you and me Your own happiness is my priority That's why you should leave me be Weight receding off my shoulders Free of those that keep me down It's only up from here sincerely Don't think I'll even turn around! [Chorus]

about

The original 2013 version of "What's That Light Around the Corner?", with a different, shorter tracklist. Production is bad. Weathering of Stone shows up in an earlier but very similar form. I removed it from 2019 because while good on its own, it felt like filler to me within the context of this album.

A Living Fountain of Youth has vocals/lyrics unlike 2019, and the bass is almost inaudible on all tracks.

There are no instrumentals in the download because I didn't render those back then.

Artwork is a crop of Andrea Mantegna's "The Agony in the Garden":
