All is white and frozen stiff Eyes bloodshot as can be Will peace elude my fervent grasp The sun beholds my misery The blinding snow My only light to follow No stone unturned, but I return I'm without words, my only sorrow Not only once, but twice I fall into this daze "As luck would have it", I would say "Never again I walk this maze!" A pale and bitter face, red and dry, cracked and sore Is what it takes to make me say "No more, no more!" No more snow, no more ice No more cold, no more wind No more snow, no more ice No more cold, no more wind No more pain, no more death No more snow, blinding snow! My torn and withered body owes its life to those long passed The flesh and blood of my comrades, in peace I hope you rest Corpses line the frozen fields, reminders of the past With their lives claimed I live on, I'm the very last

Ascent into oblivion, the mountains capped in snow The winds cut through my fingers like daggers to the flesh I must go forward, and never look below For no words could express the fear within my shallow soul The path grows tougher, will I make it there in time? Will I make it there at all my friend; way up in the sky so bright? I must stand strong, and conquer this only threat No regrets! The wolves move forth, take heed to the shining moon The coast is clear for now, my breath fogs the midnight sky As daybreak cries its tired yawn upon my eyes It's time to set foot, before the white and the azure blue "One more step!", I tell myself as I grow weak The days I've lived are only starting to begin I shall not die upon this mountainside A few more steps away, the end I'm soon to find Must not give up hope, or all this work's for nothing As long as I'm alive, as long as I'm alive!

Of many things that change in time Our bond will surely not Naivete don't plant the seeds of rye But even that will die and rot Closing distance in a spatial realm When time seems to stop and leagues keep us down But soon we shall prevail Soon we shall prevail Transcend what separates the joys that we feel The hearts that we steal To smash the clocks that keep us chained Fold the land that may estrange We shall prevail I won't be made a fool of Sweetheart, nor will you Adversity won't stand before the ties that bind us We'll see this through But a year and a couple-hundred leagues apart Who thought again I'd sing about another brand new start? Smile bright, and shine among the best For it was you, who saw me true above the rest Darkness looms around the bend Before the light comes 'round again We stand together hand-in-hand Justifying love's command

Not long ago, mere months away The facts of life were changed I was bound to face the wind For southward was my home Who knew how serious these things could get When you and I were joined by the hands of fate? Grasping at straws that just happen to be the same! Will you accept me, for what I am, or what I will be? Today, tomorrow, or the next day? United, colliding with the feelings you and I possess Magic as a theory stands when you of all exist There's only one place I belong But that's not where I am Give me time to take you far away Where you and I can truly stand atop the hills, no one will be our judge It's just you and I, and this breath for us to share Closer, closer, silence beckons me to stray that way Same things, same dreams, passion's plea for love more than today No matter how arduous this will soon become Just know that I'll on keep fighting 'til I'm dead and surely gone I'm stubborn as a mule (or patient as a saint) The eye of the beholder sees for all who've found their way If I could only stay there beyond the shadow of a doubt A momentary lapse of thought deceives me, that this is something real My days feel as they're numbered, counting down without avail How long will you wait for me on the other side? "No matter how" much I wish How much I pray The only thing that can truly change is me Save me, steal me from this world, your arms and my behest Tighten, tighten ties that bind us, make this forever last
8.
This can't be real, it's a fantasy, it has to be But how in the living hell can I get out? A fathomless infinity I wish for wakeful eyes, for the burn of cold reality For a world where I can die The shades of bitter black That fill my dead unending soul Without peace, my heart bled its all To have loved and lost To have seized the day But a dream left drowned on this freezing bay
